I AM BACK!!!

Thursday, November 10, 2005 - Thursday, November 10, 2005

Whoot!!! Hi People! I'm back to lovely Singapore!!! Muacks..i miss this place man.

Overall was rather fun lar. Their education system was a lot more interesting than that I imagine. Of course..got unhappy stuff also lor.

1st day:

First time in a plane! So fun!! There was alot of entertainment and food was good. umm..I remember eating salmon. Nice. Then the airstewardess were very polite and I drank so much juice. I watch wedding crashers then we end up playing cards.

Went to this place call Hu Tong. Some lao gu dong place where I din't pay any attention coz I was so tired from the trip. Then went for dinner at WAHAHA restaurant. Ya..can u believe the lame name? The food there was horrible, so salty and oily. Then we kept complaining to the tour guide so she said she will inform the next restaurant we are eating in.

Roads in Beijing are dark and scary..not to mention holey. Its like, any moment you are just gonna trip over those uneven bricks. No street lamps or anything. I so regreted not bringing a torch.

Later went to the hotel. 4 star hotel. Bullshit. Their service lan like anything. Give us the card is wrong one. Then we want to change card the service give us black face. C'mon man..who's in the wrong. Then also alot of people ended up changing rooms. So glad I was able to sleep that night despite the oh so stuffy weather.

2nd day:

Heh heh..ferget where we went to. Lemmi think..oh yea..talk about stupid breakfast first. Horrible!!!! Hotel food sucks. Over the next few days, I ate bread cox the rest of the food got ?????.

By the way, China's air is a little more poluted. Many ended up with their nose bleeding (i didn't) then sneezing all the way. Did I mention some of the mucus was black? Er Xin hor. Their traffic are not as advance. I mean, traffic lights are there for a reason!

Went to Lu gou bridge. Quite massive coz of the flooring. All were very much dented and we took alot of pictures there. Did I mention those lion heads. So many of them.

Then there was this factory where they used copper and metallic stuff. Very nice. I brought this display item, an egg like thingy for home. Rather nice.

Then the WOW part was to the Great wall of China. Actually, dunno issit me or wad, but I like..no interest one leh. I think besides shopping, I don't appreciate this kind of stuff de. Did I make it? No lar. Me, Charlene and peh gek went down after a while coz me and charlene felt we couldn't climb down later coz the steps are VERY VERY steep. Peh gek was just being nice to follow us.

Day 3:
Forbidden city. Basically, its like the summer palace. All is based on the monarchy in China in the past like where each people (king, queen, princess) stay. I wasn't particulary interested and even when I did, which was to see the actual throne of the king, I was practically squashed and people were cursing away. It was revolting how people actually behaved, elbowing us and all.

We proceed to the tea art demostration. I brough two types of tea for my ma and dad. Very nice lor their tea. Smells real good!

Then we went to Wang Fu Jing. Its like Orchard Rd in Singapore. Not bad lar. They have a really nice bookshop where I bought my cds. So cheap and the best thing is, its original!

Day 4:
Went to 54Middle school. My buddy was very nice, a little clingy, but nice. I went to their IT class, history, and art lessons. Their lessons are linked to their China history one lor. Can see that they are VERY VERY devoted to their country. Students there sing their national anthem with pride. We Singaporean kids should learn this from them lor.

People there are very nice. They actually know only very little about Singapore. Some are so shock we actually know Chinese. I don't believe this! But we share many same interest like Music. Music does make the world go round.

Day 5:
Went to the museum of Chinese Literature. Not bad, rather interesting. Then we went to eat the long await, Peking Duck. Oily like anything. Here is the funny part: I was busy trying to squeeze the damn oil out then i use so much strength to squeeze the oil out till I broke a chopstick!!! Plastic one ok! Then when I ask for change, the waitress look at me like i siao liddat.

Visited Beida university. The view there was like a garden, not like school at all, more like a garden.

Went back to 54 middle school. Did our presentation. Not bad, went on smoothly. Then there are so many hugs and all coz it was out last day in the school. Will miss them de.

Ferget wad else I did this day.

Day 6:
Almost home!! Went to the mao ze dong place where we saw his corpse. Very fast lor. Go in, see him and come out.

Then we went to the wax museum. I love this museum the best. So many wax people. Then I think we are like, more interested in the russia people the kings. The other funny thing is, we were told to go to the waiting room to wait. Then they had this wax man 'sleeping' there. Then it looked so real we thought he was a real man lor. Then later we notice he not breathing de. Then realise it was fake! Then we tried to bluff others who came in later. We went shhhh-ing and said not to wake him up. Got teachers were convinced de lor. It was THAT real.

Went to hard rock cafe for lunch. Not as nice as I was hoping.

Sat a delayed plane. Met air turbulance leh. So cool. (Imma saddist haha) Then got so many cool shows to watch this time on the plane. Then we arrived an hour late due to the bad weather. Haha..But it was very nice to finally reach home. :)
